Electronic document-management systems: A classification and new opportunities for a scientific technical library

Аннотация

This paper considers approaches to the classification of electronic document-management systems (EDMSs), and discusses the problems of distinguishing the criteria that are sufficient to describe them. The advantages of the multi-aspect (faceted) approach to the classification of the EDMSs are substantiated. The potential of the EDMSs in relation to the organization of information service at a scientific technical library is shown.
