Cyclopropanol intermediates in the synthesis of the C5–C14 fragment of laulimalides

Two novel schemes have been developed for the synthesis of the C⁵–C¹⁴ fragment of the macrocyclic antitumor drug laulimalide and its analogs via transformations of cyclopropanol intermediates.
