The nature images of the Turgenev's novel «The Day Before» are examined in the article and connected with the area of water space. Nature is always a focus of philosophical writer's thought and depth of memory, which is reflected in its mythopoetic semantics. The article is devoted to the correlation of consciousness and unconsciousness in that Turgenev's novel.
