Abstract
Analytical expressions for the electrokinetic potential of nanorods and cells were obtained. For this purpose, the nanorods and cells were represented as spheroids. It was shown that the electrokinetic potential of the nanorods and cells was determined by a universal function, which depended only on the aspect ratio. The dependence of the electrokinetic potential of the nanorods on their mobility and aspect ratio was determined.
