Abstract

A method is developed for physicomechanical investigations in surface layer where the nonwoven material is strained under free and constrained performance conditions. The mechanism of nondestructive control of points of fixation of polyester fibres to the melt is proposed and validated and the bonds between the fibres are determined by analysis of photmicrographs of the nonwoven structure. The mathematical model is broadened for predicting compressive and tensile strain of nonwovens as a function of their pore size and size-wise pore distribution.
