Abstract

The {[Cu₂Ge(μ-Cit)₂(μ-INH)₂]·4H₂O}_n (I) complex, where H₄Cit is citric acid, INH is isonicotinic acid hydrazide, is synthesized for the first time and characterized by a set of physical and chemical analysis techniques. According to X-ray crystallography, I is a three-dimensional heteronuclear Cu–Ge coordination polymer with a completely deprotonated form Cit^4– of citric acid. Both ligands are bridging and the framework structure of the complex is formed.
