Diffusion permeability of yttrium-based heat-resistant ion-plasma coatings

The diffusion permeability of yttrium-containing ion-plasma coatings on substrates made of the low-alloy chromium-based Cr–0.7V–0.17La alloy has been studied. It has been found that protective coatings of this type have a strong barrier effect on diffusion fluxes in the substrate–coating–environment system and that YCr + YCrO₃ coatings ensure the best protection of the substrates against gas saturation.
