Abstract
Results. It was found that gain in body mass after onset of snoring significantly correlates with apnea/ hypopnea index and with OSAS severity. If the body mass gain was > 10 kg, there is a 95% probability of the existence of moderate or severe OSAS. If the gain was > 20 kg, severe OSAS is highly probable. Conclusion. Body mass gain after onset of snoring can help in prediction of OSAS severity.
