Abstract
We establish the possibility of determining a characteristic that is not directly measurable of an object that is controlled by an information-measuring system using the interpretation of the results of observations on the basis of measurement reduction and polynomial approximation methods for numerical differentiation. The basis of the developed methods of improving the polynomial approximation of not directly measurable characteristics of an object constitute the proposed criteria for assessing the effectiveness of measurement reduction.
