Abstract
A mathematical model of the interaction of pulsed laser irradiation with the surface of ST-50-1 glass ceramic is proposed. The energy distribution in a laser beam is examined, and the temperature field of the plate surface in the region of effect of the laser beam is calculated. The correspondence of calculated and experimentally-derived dimensions of the melt region is established.
