Abstract
The national health care has suffered an irreplaceable loss: on August 14, at the age of 76, Sergey Pavlovich Mironov, an outstanding scientist, excellent organisator, a great clinician, erudite teacher, a remarkable public figure, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, passed away. The Association of Traumatologists and Orthopaedists of Russia, the staff of the N.N. Priorov National Medical Research Center of Traumatology and Orthopedics, editorial board of the N.N. Priorov Journal of Traumatology and Orthopedics deeply grieve about the loss.
