Abstract

The analysis of water disinfection technology by chemical reagents and physical methods was made, showed their advantages and disadvantages. The main disadvantages of chlorination is high toxicity of chlorine and its extremely dangerous compounds—organochlorine derivatives, which are not completely removed by existing methods of water purification. Substantiated is introduction of a new standard for water treatment at water management boards by natural disinfectants—carbon dioxide and ultraviolet radiation after coagulation and filtration to prevent biofouling of pipes and for disinfecion. It will allow us to give up the technology of chlorination of tap water with its negative effects.
