Running-in of metal–polymer frictional systems with a composite coating

Abstract

A universal criterion is proposed to determine when the nonsteady running-in of a frictional pair has ended. An algorithm is developed for identification and statistical evaluation of the running-in parameters in the case of a metal–polymer frictional system.
