Optimization of a Unipolar Magnetic Bearing

Abstract

New designs of unipolar magnetic bearings in electrical industrial machines are optimized by means of genetic algorithms. As a result, the optimal geometric dimensions are determined. On that basis, a design is developed for an electric motor with a unipolar active magnetic bearing.
