Abstract

The influence of the machining conditions (cutting depth, cutting speed, and supply) on the surface roughness of an F-4K20 composite plate in turning by a cutter based on CVD diamond is studied. An empirical model permits calculation of the height of the surface irregularity as a function of the machining conditions. The results have been employed in production conditions.
