Abstract

Oxidation of diamantane with 2,3,4,5,6-pentafluoroperbenzoic acid catalyzed with complexes MoO(O₂)·2QOH, MoO(O₂)(H₂O)₂ proceeds selectively affording diamantan-1-ol and diamantan-1-yl 2,3,4,5,6-pentafluorobenzoate.
