Abstract

The technical and functional structures of the SPPA-T3000 software-hardware system for the integrated automatic process controller for the Adler Thermal electric power plant are described. The thermal-mechanical equipment and electrical equipment are characterized as a unified object of automation. The major difficulties in creating an integrated automatic process controller are analyzed. The experience of Siemens as a supplier of basic program and instrumentation systems for core plant operations is summarized, ranging from the development of integrated automatic process controllers to operational engineering setup.
