Abstract

The basic types of soil pressures on the walls of cellular hydraulic structures under the effect of dynamic loads obtained in experiments are considered. It is shown that the greatest of these pressures (up to 1.7 times the static pressure) may arise from redistribution of loads from the aggregate between the walls and the foundation. A formula for determining this pressure is proposed.
