Abstract

The consequences caused by the influence of Mediterranean invaders on the aboriginal fauna of the Caspian Sea are shown. Materials on the changes taking place in the abundance and species composition of the pelagic and bottom ecosystems and of the ichthyofauna of the Middle and Southern Caspian Sea are analyzed.
