Aims and Scope
Vestnik of Volga State Technological University. Series: Economics and Management is a peer-reviewed scientific journal.
The journal publishes the results of original scientific research in the field of social and economic systems, their institutional and infrastructural aspects of development, patterns of functioning and trends in the development of economic relations within the framework of economic theory, regional and sectoral economics, developments and processes of implementing scientific results in the field of finance and management practice.
The article should contain only original material reflecting the results of the author's completed research.
Sections
ECONOMIC THEORY
The heading corresponds to the code of the scientific specialty 5.2.1. Economic theory.
Works are published to identify stable, recurring relationships in socio-economic phenomena and processes, their structural characteristics, patterns of functioning and trends in the development of economic relations, understanding and anticipating economic and political events; identification and understanding of new, rethinking previously known facts, processes characterizing the evolution and transformation of socio-economic systems and institutions.
Research areas: conceptual framework of economics, microeconomic theory, macroeconomic theory, institutional research, theoretical approaches to the study of economic growth and economic development, theoretical analysis of economic policy.
REGIONAL AND SECTORAL ECONOMICS
The heading corresponds to the code of the scientific specialty 5.2.3. Regional and sectoral economy.
Works are published that analyze various aspects of the study of economics and management of regional socio-economic systems, industries, and areas of economic activity, including economics, organization, and management of enterprises, industries, and complexes.
Research areas: regional economic development, monitoring of socio-economic development of regions, assessment of the effectiveness of regional economic policy in the Russian Federation, economic and social problems of local government, economics of industry markets, regional and local markets, industrial economics, agricultural economics, service economics, transport and logistics, economics of construction, economics of innovation, economics labor, marketing, accounting and economic security/
FINANCE
The heading corresponds to the cipher of the scientific specialty 5.2.4. Finance.
Scientific research, research developments and the processes of implementing scientific results in the field of finance are published, including the theoretical and methodological foundations of financial research, the study of financial products, their types, functions in the economic system, public finance and their levels (federal, regional, municipal), new technologies in the financial sector, their impact on the state of financial services markets.
Research areas: corporate finance, financial strategies, financial management, behavioral finance, financial literacy issues, financial instruments and transactions with them.
MANAGEMENT
The heading corresponds to the cipher of the scientific specialty 5.2.6. Management.
The results of research on the theory and methods of decision-making in economic and social systems, the distinctive features of the public (state and municipal) management system, the theory and practice of entrepreneurship, methods and criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of management systems are published.
Research areas: corporate governance, corporate and social responsibility, strategic management, marketing technologies in company management, personnel management, innovation management, management accounting as an element of the organization's management system, results management, management of operational efficiency of the enterprise and the organization.
CHRONICLE OF EVENTS
Articles and brief information about dates, events, conferences, overview information on selected problematic issues, as well as reviews of scientific papers on the subject of the series are published.
Peer Review Process
1. All the manuscripts are reviewed. After that, editorial board considers them and decides whether it is possible to publish the manuscript.
2. Composition of reviewers is approved by the editorial board. Editor-in-chief of the series appoints the reviewers.
3. Editorial staff establishes the term of reviewing (no more than 1 month) together with the reviewer.
4. Editorial staff may recommend the materials of polemical character which need more detailed discussion to review at an extended meeting of the editorial board together with the author and the competent experts.
5. If the review contains recommendations for correcting and finalizing the article, the editorial board of the journal sends the author the text of the review with suggestions to consider them when preparing a new version of the article or to refute them in a reasoned manner. The revision of the article should take no more than three weeks from the moment of sending an e-mail to the author about the need to make changes (with the exception of the summer period (July, August months). The article revised by the author is re-sent for review.
6. If the authors do not return the revised version of the article within the specified time frame, the article will automatically be rejected or accepted as newly submitted.

Publishing Ethics

AUTHORS are responsible for the contents of their manuscript.
Those submitting manuscript should carefully check that all those methods and results are accurate.
Authors should carefully check their calculations and offered data.
Citations and references should be accurate. They should be properly prepared.
Authors should not copy the references from other scientific papers in case they did not use them.
Authors are completely responsible for the correct definition of their authorship.
CODE OF ETHICS OF EDITOR-IN-CHIEF
makes decision on publication of a manuscript solely on the basis of expert evaluation of a group of independent reviewers and the opinion of the members of the editorial board;
sends confidential information about the submitted manuscript to the authors and the reviewers only;
excludes the submitted manuscript from consideration in case of the conflict of interest;
assumes the appropriate response measures in case of a complaint of ethic nature to the submitted manuscript or the published paper (informs the author, discusses the complaint with the editorial board, publishes the corrections);
citation recommendations are based on the scientific importance of the cited papers, and pursue the goal to improve the submitted manuscript.
EDITORIAL BOARD CODE OF ETHICS
Editorial board helps the authors to improve the quality of the submitted manuscripts through reviewing and literary editing of the manuscripts.
Editorial board promises to pass just and impartial decision about the publication of the manuscripts and to perform fair reviewing regardless of commercial interest.
Editorial board:
complies with confidentiality requirements and sends the submitted manuscripts to the reviewers only. Correspondence with the author is of confidential nature;
assures the reviewers are aware of the rules of reviewing;
adopts an editorial policy, providing maximum clarity and complete reporting to the author; if the referee process takes much time, the author is informed about it by e-mail;
protects the rights of the third parties from illegal use of the materials (piracy) – the manuscripts of the persons, caught in piracy, are not accepted for publication in the academic periodical. Editorial board has a right to give publicity the leak out cases of piracy on the pages of its periodical;
gives the authors grounds for the decision if the manuscript is not accepted for publication or if returned for revision;
does not accept for publication the manuscripts with invalid references and citation.
REVIEWER CODE OF ETHICS
agrees (and informs the editor of the periodical about it) to review those manuscripts which are in his/her field of competence and those number of manuscripts which he/she will be able to review in proper time;
respects confidentiality of the review and does not inform anybody about any details of the manuscript or the review during or after reviewing of the manuscript, except for the persons who have the permission of the editor;
does not use the information obtained during the reviewing for his/her own benefit or benefit of any other persons or organization or to harm any person or to bring into discredit any person;
does not addresses directly to the authors without preliminary permission of the editor;
informs the editor about possible conflicts of interest and seeks advise to the editorial board of the periodical if he/she is not sure whether the situation is a conflict of interest or not;
does not take into account the origin of the manuscript, nationality, religious affiliation, political or any other views of the authors, or commercial interest to review the submitted manuscript;
Reviews the manuscript objectively and constructively, does not make hostile or inciting statements, as well as slanderous or offensive comments;
