Abstract
Samara State Social and Pedagogical University is the oldest higher educational institution in the Samara region. Founded in 1911 as a teacher's institute, it immediately began to position itself as a humanitarian institution. This direction remains the leading one at the present time. The preservation of the humanitarian component is a merit of our team, since in the conditions of a modern technocratic society it is the humanities and pedagogical sciences that preserve the humanistic component of Russia.
