Aims and Scope
"SocioTime" is included in the List of the Higher Attestation Commission (VAK) of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation (the Decision of Presidium of VAK of Russia) since March 23, 2018 in THREE scientific directions:
"History", "Philosophy", "Sociology".
“SocioTime” is an interdisciplinary scientific journal of modern social and humanitarian knowledge in the field of urgent problems of human and social development. The magazine positions itself as a creative platform for a network of scientific associates of like-minded people who are looking to study the actual problems of the development of modern man and society. The network nature of the journal is represented by a broad community of scholars from Russia and foreign countries that are representatives of the magazine and are included in its editorial board and editorial boards. This character is also confirmed by the broad copyright community of the journal.
Among the members of the editorial board and the editorial board of the magazine are well-known Russian scientists from Yoshkar-Ola, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Tver, representing the university and academic centers of Russia, including Kazan Federal University (Kazan), Kazan National Research Technological and Technical University (Kazan), Nizhny Novgorod National Research University (Nizhny Novgorod), Nizhny Novgorod Agricultural Academy (Nizhny Novgorod), Mordovian National Research University (Saransk), Saint Petersburg State University (Saint Petersburg), The Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Moscow), the Physical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Moscow), the Tver State University (Tver), Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation (Moscow), The Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration under the President of the Russian Federation (Moscow), The Institute of Sociology of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Moscow), and others.
Foreign members of the editorial board of the journal are represented by scientists from the university centers of Belarus (National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Belarusian State University, Belarusian State Technological University), Ukraine (Kharkov National Technical University), Germany (University of Mithvaidy), USA (Concord University, Turkey Istanbul University), Bulgaria (Sofia University), Azerbaijan (Azerbaijan University of Tourism and Management), etc.
“SocioTime” positions itself as an interactive scientific platform on topical problems of the development of modern man and society. In the focus of the journal's publishing life, primarily the works of scientists and researchers of the Volga region of Russia, represented by the scientific communities of the Republic of Mari El, the Republic of Tatarstan, the Republic of Mordovia, the Nizhny Novgorod region, etc. And related possible dialogues with scientists from academic and university centers of Russia, including from Moscow, St. Petersburg, the European part of Russia, Siberia, the Urals, etc. Important role in the activities of the journal is to create conditions for dialogue with scientists and researchers of foreign countries.
The magazine publishes articles in Russian and English. The key sections of the journal cover philosophy, sociology, history. The general concept of the magazine is to encourage interdisciplinary and integrative research of the individual and society in the face of modern challenges. The journal is problem-oriented and controversial. The Editorial Board invites researchers working in the field of actual processes and destinies of man and society in the context of contemporary problems of globalization, national security, worldview, cultural and civilizational metamorphoses of sociality, along the lines of seeking a harmonious and sustainable development of society.
The focus of “SocioTime” is the state and metamorphoses of the life world of man and society in the era of change. The theme of social time, its structure, metamorphosis, deformations, in the opinion of the editorial board of the journal, acts as an integrator of a diverse palette of this problematics.
Consideration of works of graduate students and applicants of the Candidate degree is carried out only in the presence of a response of the research supervisor and according to the decision of educational institution where preparation of a dissertation research is carried out.
The editorial office "SocioTime" finds it possible to publish articles which theoretical positions of authors are represented debatable. The published materials may not show opinion of editorial board and editorial council of the magazine.
Peer Review Process
1. All received the editorial office articles relevant topics of the journal, are subject to mandatory review for the purpose of expert evaluation.
2. Review of the articles carried by members of the editorial council and the editorial board, as well as invited experts. All reviewers are leading experts in the relevant branches of science and have publications on topic of peer-reviewed articles for the past three years.
3. Editorial staff establishes the term of reviewing (no more than 1 month) together with the reviewer.
4. If the review contains recommendations for corrective and revision articles, the editorial office directs the author text reviews with suggestions to consider them in preparing a new version of the article or arguments to refute them. Revision of the article should not take more than 2 months from the date of sending the e-mail to the author about the need to make changes. The article modified by the author re-directs for review.
5. If the authors do not return the modified version of the article at the end of 2 months, the editors remove it from the register.
6. Editorial staff may recommend the materials of polemical character which need more detailed discussion to review at an extended meeting of the editorial board together with the author and the competent experts.
Open Access Policy
Editor-in-chief:
makes decision on publication of a manuscript solely on the basis of expert evaluation of a group of independent reviewers and the opinion of the members of the editorial board;
sends confidential information about the submitted manuscript to the authors and the reviewers only;
excludes the submitted manuscript from consideration in case of the conflict of interest;
assumes the appropriate response measures in case of a complaint of ethic nature to the submitted manuscript or the published paper (informs the author, discusses the complaint with the editorial board, publishes the corrections);
citation recommendations are based on the scientific importance of the cited papers, and pursue the goal to improve the submitted manuscript.
