Russian Journal of Labor Economics is an international scientific and practical journal devoted to theoretical, methodological and practical aspects of work activities, including studies on labor market, social and labor relations, work productivity and efficiency, remuneration of employees, reproduction of labor resources, as well as other scientific materials in the context of the Higher Attestation Commission specialty passport “Labor Economics”.
The journal publishes original research results in the field of labor economy and organization in Russia and abroad, analytical surveys, reviews, and short announcements of ongoing researches and labor statistics at the discretion of editorial board. All articles published in the journal are subject to mandatory peer-review.

Monitoring of the labor market in the Russian Federation and analysis of foreign experience in monitoring wages
Аннотация
Labor market monitoring is a study based on the analysis of demand, supply, wages and competitiveness assessment. Regular monitoring observations are necessary to solve the problems of state regulation of the labor market. The article analyzes the characteristics of the most extensive monitoring of the labor market in the Russian Federation (Monitoring of the Rostrud of the Russian Federation, monitoring by the constituent entities which make up the Russian Federation, monitoring by wages, etc.). The foreign experience of a number of countries is given. The multilevel and multi-purpose monitoring system of labor market research in the Russian Federation is under active improvement. So far, Russia has not developed unified approaches to the analysis and monitoring of the labor market in the professional qualification and industry context; therefore, the methodological approaches of the Council for Professional Qualifications are highly differentiated.

Main trends in the ratio of supply and demand in the regional labor market of the Russian Far East
Аннотация
The situation in the labor market has a significant impact on the development of the region's economy. The peculiarities of the regional labor market are determined by the territorial, geopolitical and economic components of a particular region. In the article, the authors, based on the analysis of statistical data, present an assessment of changes in the conjunctural components of the labor market of the Russian Far East using the proposed system of factors. The main demographic problems hindering the development of the personnel potential of the region are identified. Particular attention is paid to the problem of structural discrepancy between the parameters of labor demand and its supply, which arises in connection with problems and contradictions in the interaction of the labor market and educational institutions. The ways of improving the interaction of educational institutions with the subjects of the labor market in order to meet the needs of the region in personnel are proposed.Acknowledgments:The study was carried out with the support of the Far Eastern State Transport University. Evolution of forms of joint activity: from Fordism to the ecosystem of cooperation
Аннотация
This article raises questions related to the main trends and driving forces in the evolution of forms of joint activity as a fundamental characteristic of labor. The main transformations in joint activities occur under the influence of a number of factors, the key of which are technological progress and a change in the role of a person in the labor process. Digital technology has contributed to the development of collaborative creative activity and its virtualization, and the formation of new models of labor and employment organization. It is shown that Y and Z generations become the main driving forces of creative activity. The article also raises problems related to the sustainable development of employees in conditions of self-employment, as well as the need to develop new approaches to human resource management in the context of new employment models.

Youth in the labor market: the impact of digitalization and the uncertainty of the professional world
Аннотация
The article presents an analysis of the main trends of youth behavior in the labor market due to the accelerating processes of digitalization. The authors obtained new results reflecting the attitude of the youth of ten regions of the Russian Federation to their future in the labor market. As a result of a survey conducted on the basis of a sociological study of 2021 in ten regions of the Siberian Federal District, empirical data were obtained. The main purpose of the survey was to assess the main concerns associated with the gradual displacement of a person from the world of professions and widespread robotics, the introduction of artificial intelligence systems, machine learning, etc. As a result, the attitudes of young people towards their future in the context of digital business transformation are revealed. Young people are quite optimistic, looking at the horizon of their professional future, understanding the need to receive additional education and improve in order to fit into the realities of the new digital economy. When building their professional trajectories, young people pay great attention not only to financial issues, but also to having the opportunity to benefit society. In addition, it was revealed that it is not so important for modern young people to feel part of the professional community and feel proud about it. The research materials can be used in the educational process, in the system of professional development of personnel, as well as by managers, specialists and academic staff.

Humanities students' views on their future careers, priorities, and motivation
Аннотация
The article is devoted to the study of the humanities students' views, preferences, motivations and ideas about professional future. The problem of matching vocational training with the requirements of the labor market and with the interests of the youth themselves is an urgent task, both from the standpoint of the labor market and the education system. The authors conducted a survey of students of 15 universities in five cities of Russia. The article shows that respondents' views on future work depend not only on the requirements of the profession, but also on the socio-demographic characteristics of students. The results allowed to draw a socio-cultural portrait of a humanities student. The views of humanitarians are strongly influenced by the gender factor. Traditional cultural stereotypes in the field of employment still persist, which will continue to influence the plans and behavior of humanitarians. Their preferences are also largely determined by the financial situation of the family. Their preferences are, in most cases, quite high. This allows humanities students to consider monetary motives as secondary when choosing a future job, giving preference to such criteria as the possibility of self-development. Humanitarians adapt better than representatives of other specialties to the labor market, to new trends in employment, and show a great desire to work freelance. Freelancing corresponds to their desire to combine work and personal life and have a flexible work schedule, providing a large number of vacancies corresponding to their profession, with the remote nature of work. It is revealed that entrepreneurship is considered by humanitarians only from the standpoint of monetary income.

Demographic factors affecting the financial sustainability of pension systems in Russia and member countries of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development

Modern demographic trends affect all areas of social security and are fundamental in planning the socio-economic policy of each state. To date, pension is the most extensive branch of social security. The main goal of each pension system is to maintain a decent and high-quality standard of living of the insured person after his retirement. However, modern demographic problems directly affect the level of financial sustainability of the pension system and require more and more guarantees from the state to fulfill accumulated pension obligations. The article presents and analyzes the indicators that affect the emerging risks of the state associated with the rapid growth of the aging population, and the measures taken to minimize the emerging risks. As a a result of the analysis of demographic trends, the author revealed a number of demographic problems characteristic of both Russia and the countries of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, features of socio-demographic development in Russia and historical aspects that influenced the formation of the current situation.Acknowledgments:The article was prepared based on the results of research carried out at the expense of budgetary funds under the State Assignment of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation in 2023.

Parameters of the new medical staff remuneration system

The COVID-19 pandemic has shown the extreme importance and relevance of the work and remuneration of medical staff. The development of an industry-specific remuneration system for medical staff is a priority area for improving the healthcare system of the Russian Federation. The authors proposed a mechanism for the development and implementation of an industry-specific remuneration system for medical staff. In the course of the study, approaches to the formation of official wages, compensatory and incentive payments were developed. The developed remuneration system is aimed at increasing transparency, providing the conditionally constant part of earnings (through the introduction of uniform approaches to setting official wages and uniform lists of compensatory and incentive payments), and a significant increase in the average wage of medical staff when it is introduced.

Problems of staffing in higher educational institutions of civil aviation
Аннотация
In the article, based on quantitative and qualitative analysis of the academic staff of higher educational institutions of civil aviation in dynamics over 10 years, the main problem areas of staffing are identified. They are as follows: a low proportion of the academic staff with academic degrees and a low proportion of younger age groups in this category of staff. Measures to strengthen human resources in the short and long term are proposed.It is proposed to focus on working with young people, the selection of promising students, their employment in universities and planning a scientific and pedagogical career, as well as choosing of educational trajectories aimed at obtaining a degree.

Development of the personnel potential of the electronics industry in Russia as a basis for the industry's sustainability
Аннотация
The article discusses the features of the electronics industry in Russia from the point of view of the development of qualified staff. High capital intensity and low profitability in the industry, as well as the global nature of competition impose special requirements on the competencies of employees in Russian companies. At the same time, working conditions at Russian companies lag far behind advanced companies. Countries that strive to maintain a leading position offer wages significantly higher than the average for all sectors of the economy. For the modernization of the electronics industry, the measures proposed by the Government may be ineffective without a review of wages in the industry. Now the average age of employees exceeds 40 years, and graduates of industry universities do not plan to work in their specialty. With such starting positions, the reform of the electronics industry will come to a standstill by 2030, since qualified personnel will choose a related specialty with a higher level of remuneration. At the same time, the outdated material base does not allow employees to improve their skills, which exacerbates the lag behind the industry leaders. It is proposed to revise the remuneration based on the salaries of academic staff and a system of foreign internships for a faster increase in personnel potential.

Principles and trends of occupational safety and health in Russia
Аннотация
The substantiation of the need to create its own concept for the development of occupational safety and health in Russia is given. The concept of "work without injuries and accidents" is proposed; its basic principles are formulated; and seven priority areas for the development of occupational safety and health are identified. For each direction, barriers hindering further development are indicated; and ways to overcome them or directions for finding new solutions are described.The new concept makes it possible to bring occupational safety and health management to a fundamentally new level, which provides a significant reduction in injuries that has been unattainable in the past.

Proposals to reduce occupational accidents in the hospitality industry
Аннотация
This article examines the peculiarities of working conditions in the hospitality industry and their impact on employees' occupational injuries. The authors focus on the role of social and communicative factors associated with the interaction of staff and clients. The authors identify their negative impact on work intensity and the level of risk of conflicts, psychoemotional breakdowns and injuries. Recognizing the complexity of rationing these factors, the authors propose a number of organizational and managerial measures to prevent hazards and reduce the risks of occupational injuries, including through managing the density of the communicative space. The purpose of the study is to find solutions to minimize production risks and ensure the companies' well-being in this area of economic activity, which can be useful for specialists involved in occupational safety and risk management in the hospitality industry.
