Abstract
The study was performed on 13532 ultrasound protocols and results of 4415 biopsies of thyroid nodules. The research demonstrated high potential of TIRADS system. TIRADS system helps to define the indications for biopsy and to form the risk groups. It focuses attention of cytologists on the probability of detecting tumors of the thyroid gland.
