Abstract
The world development of scientific research by using modern instrumental facilities results in the creation of new methods and approaches to patient’s treatment. The tendency to the efficiency of professional interaction leads to a large number of abbreviations which number is keeping steadily growing. However, their widespread using often can cause serious outcomes. This article is devoted to the problems of misunderstanding and misinterpretation of medical abbreviations used in the drug administrations which are described in English-language literature. The proposed classification of medical abbreviations interpretation will be useful for optimal communication between healthcare professionals.
