Abstract
The paper analyzes the interaction of ontological and existential modes of sport. The author studies the ontological and existential grounds of an individual sportsman, makes actual the contradiction of the sportsman’s activities in the modern industrial civilization. The author concludes that the sportsman can overcome the contradicting situations in the modern time by implementing of his own existential possibilities.
