Editorial Policies
Aims and Scope
The journal publishes articles on the following branches of science:
- topical issues of language didactics and methods of foreign language teaching;
- language training in the context of life-long learning;
- psychological and pedagogical issues of the development of education;
- topical issues of the organisation of the teacher's instructional performance and the development of students' cognitive activity;
- psychological, pedagogical and methodological issues in the area of studying languages and cultures;
- analysis of the constituent elements of civil legal relations;
- characteristics of various obligations (purchase and sale, lease, carriage, insurance, etc.);
- the study of legal aspects of protection of population and territories from emergency situations.
The journal is intended for researchers, teachers of higher education, postgraduates, students and all those who are interested in the achievements of modern Russian science.
“Vestnik of Moscow State Linguistic University. Education and Teaching” is free at the point of use to both authors and readers.
Sections
Pedagogical Studies
Purpose: to set and solve problems of pedagogical science development, development of linguistic education, improvement of the quality of education in Russia.
Objectives: research of topical problems of the theory and practice of teaching and education in different educational contexts; identification and addressing of topical issues of general and professional education; research and working out of topical issues of linguistic education development, theory and methodology of foreign language teaching at different levels of the system of lifelong linguistic education.
The section is aimed at researchers studying the issues of general pedagogy, history of pedagogy and education, professional education, theory and methodology of foreign language teaching.
Psychological studies
Purpose: To identify the issues of the history and current state of psychological science, psychological issues of personality development, its mental processes and mental states, social and psychological properties of groups and communities, as well as psychological issues of learning, development, socialisation and education at different stages of personality ontogenesis.
Objectives: identification of actual issues of personality as a complex ego-system at different stages of ontogenesis and in different life conditions; actual social and psychological issues of personality, groups of people and communities, new forms of psychological regulation of social behaviour, communication and relations; characteristics of mental states, personality and its mental processes development in conditions of digitalisation and introduction of robotics; Objectives: identification of psychological and socio-psychological phenomena and mechanisms of personality, groups of people and their communities within the context of intercultural communication, the impact of globalisation processes and changes in the living conditions.
The section is designed for researchers studying general psychological, social and psychological and psychological and pedagogical phenomena, mechanisms and patterns.
Legal studies
Purpose: to study topical issues of lawmaking and law enforcement in the conditions of internationalisation of legal science, innovative development of national law branches and increasing the role of international legal regulation.
Objectives: the study of issues, categories, concepts, hypotheses, ideas reflecting the current level of knowledge about the general regularities of the branches of national law; the system of international legal norms governing relations between states, international intergovernmental organisations and other subjects of international relations, the study of international legal ideas, principles, concepts, categories, concepts, characterising the essential features of international law, including European law, as well as the goals, methods and mechanisms of international law; branches, sub-branches and institutes which legal norms regulate property and personal non-property relations arising in the sphere of civil (including entrepreneurial) circulation, personal non-property and property matrimonial and family relations, as well as property and personal non-property relations arising in the sphere of civil (including entrepreneurial) circulation with the participation of a foreign element;study of problems of legal regulation and formation of modern criminal policy, problems of combating crime and increasing the effectiveness of execution of criminal punishments; methodology of comparativism in law and deepening knowledge of the legislation of foreign countries.
The section is intended for researchers studying law-making and law enforcement at the national and international levels.
Peer Review Process
Materials submitted to the editorial board are subject to mandatory double blind independent review by members of the editorial board or invited reviewers. All reviewers are authoritative experts in the field of reviewed materials and have publications on the subject of the reviewed article within the last three years. The review period is 2-4 weeks, but it can be extended at the request of the reviewer.
Following the review of the manuscript, the reviewer makes a decision in accordance with the following options (the reviewer must justify the decision):
- the article is recommended for publication as it is;
- the article is recommended for publication after making the corrections suggested by the reviewer;
- the article cannot be published in the journal.
The Editorial Board sends the authors of the submitted materials copies of the review or a motivated refusal. In case there are recommendations for revision of the manuscript, the Editorial Board offers to take them into account in the preparation of a new version or to reasonably refute them (partially or completely). The article revised by the author is sent for review again.
A positive review is not a sufficient basis for publication of the article. The final decision on the publication of a manuscript after reviewing takes the Editor-in-Chief of the journal.
Publication Frequency
The journal is published 4 times a year.
