Abstract
The article deals with the techniques of translating Zecchino d’oro songs from Italian into Russian. Poetic translation involves recreating the semantic and cultural content of the original using the resources of the target language. The authors define and analyze the techniques of translating the Italian songs into Russian, as well as justify the choice of translation transformations to achieve an adequate translation.
