Аннотация
This research explores the art historical aspects and issues of urban sculpture’s correspondence to societal demands and the cultural code of Moscow. The study aimed to examine the perception of public sculpture in modern Moscow’s urban spaces by residents and experts, specifically how and to what extent public sculpture in Moscow reflects and supports the city’s cultural values and historical traditions, as well as to identify contemporary trends and preferences of citizens. The research methodology included analysis of theoretical approaches, a sociological survey of residents and experts, and semiotic analysis of selected works of urban sculpture in Moscow. Key concepts in the subject area are presented, results of public opinion research and expert assessments are described, and their interpretation is offered from the standpoint of art theory and history.
