Abstract
The current issues of Russian statehood require consideration based on interdisciplinary connections, which contributes to the formation of a holistic system of traditional spiritual and moral values, specifically the sense of patriotism as a foundation for the development of a citizen of Russia. The aim of the work is to analyze the theme of the Great Patriotic War in the work “Symphony No. 7 ‘Leningrad’” by Dmitri Shostakovich in the context of types of art – music, literature, and cinema – through the lens of their representation of patriotism as a leading component. The research methods include descriptive method and discourse analysis. The material of the study consists of precedent statements about the symphony in art. As a result of the research, it is shown that the synthesis of visual images can enhance significant spiritual and value meanings.
