Abstract

The paper focuses on the functioning of German wide-meaning anthroponyms König, Fürst and Herzog in comparative constructions from the perspective of modern cognitive linguistics. The comprehensive analysis of the units allowed the author to determine a certain universal linguo-cognitive comparative model and justify the active usage of the anthroponyms in comparative contexts in mass media.
