Abstract
The article provides an overview of the principles of demonstrating lexical compatibility in Russian-German and German-Russian combinatorial dictionaries and the available prospectuses of similar dictionaries of the 20th and 21st centuries. The features of the organization of dictionary entries are revealed, the most and least successful ways of organizing of the lexicographic material from the perspective of users are predicted, missing ways of demonstrating compatibility in the analyzed dictionaries are indicated, variants of fragments of missing types of dictionaries are proposed.
