Abstract
The article gives a classification of the texts of Italian press conferences depending on the grade of their capability to bring persuasion or informativity, reviews their main characteristics in the field of linguistics, determines the correlation between the dialogical and monological parts and indicates external factors that affect the nature of texts of the kind.
