Resumo
The article presents the results of a lingua-cognitive analysis of the individual author’s concept "mar / sea" of the Portuguese poet Sophia de Mello (1919-2004). A component-field model used to reconstruct the structure and content of this concept allows analyzing it as a unity of several components: perceptual, denotative, tropeic, associative, symbolic and mythological and shows the richness of its meaning.
