The article is devoted to the American novel “Golden Gate” written by V. Seth influenced by the English translation of Pushkin’s novel “Eugene Onegin”. The problem of the research is to identify the intertextual elements that connected the Russian and American texts and then penetrated the latter one through the English translation and then into the Russian translation of the American novel. The method of intertextual analysis used in the study revealed the intertextual connection of the four texts forming, according to the authors of the article, a kind of “Onegin space”, which reflects the connection of centuries and cultures.
