Situational problems as a tool for teaching intercultural interaction (experience of application in senior grades)

the scientific work considers situational tasks, which are a tool in the learning process. In the context of globalization processes, as well as cultural diversity, the process of teaching intercultural communication is an important task of the educational process. In the scientific work, the authors analyze in detail the use of situational tasks, which are successful tools for developing intercultural communication skills. The authors of the scientific work consider in detail examples of using situational tasks in the educational process. In particular, the influence of these situational tasks on the formation of skills that are important for effective interaction in a multinational space at the present stage is considered. The purpose of the scientific work is to develop and adapt the methodology for using situational tasks in order to form intercultural skills in high school students as part of the educational process. The results of the study demonstrated the following. In the process, various scenarios of situational tasks were developed and adapted, which were aimed at forming and further developing intercultural communication skills. It is certain that the use of situational tasks in the learning process helps to increase the level of awareness of high school students about cultural characteristics, and also improves communication skills. Positive dynamics in the relationships of high school students to intercultural communication, as well as readiness to interact with representatives of different cultures, were revealed.
