Abstract

dissociative identity disorder (DID) is a mental illness from the group of dissociative disorders, characterized by the presence of two or more personality states that control a person's behavior, which is accompanied by disruptions in memory processes and the integration of consciousness. In 70–80% of patients with DID, significant difficulties in professional, domestic, and social adaptation are observed, often leading to disability. This complex and understudied disorder has both social and clinical significance, highlighting the need to clarify diagnostic methods, explore the neurobiological mechanisms of the disorder, develop effective therapeutic approaches, as well as measures of social support and adaptation of patients with DID. The aim of the study: study and generalization of current scientific knowledge on the topic of DID. Objectives of the study: analyze the pathogenetic mechanisms of DID; study modern diagnostic approaches using international classifications (DSM-5, ICD-11); analyze therapeutic strategies for treatment and social rehabilitation of patients with DID; identify diagnostic and therapeutic challenges and propose solutions; assess the problems and prospects in research; determine recommendations for further research and clinical practice.
