Abstract
Gestosis is one of the most common complications of pregnancy and childbirth and is one of the main causes of maternal and perinatal mortality. This pathology is characterized by inadequate adaptation of the mother's body to the development of the ovum. Currently, the priority of immune disorders in the genesis of preeclampsia is undeniable. Among the etiological factors, vascular disorders, neuroendocrine disorders, and primary enzymatic dysfunction of the placenta are also distinguished. Modern forms of gestosis are very diverse.
