Invertibility Conditions for Second-Order Differential Operators in the Space of Continuous Bounded Functions
Abstract
We prove the invertibility of second-order differential operators with constant operator coefficients acting on the Banach space of bounded continuous functions on the real line under the condition that they are uniformly injective (in particular, left invertible) or surjective (in particular, right invertible). We show that if these operators are considered on the space of periodic functions, then the unilateral invertibility does not imply the invertibility of such operators. We obtain criteria for the injectivity, surjectivity, and invertibility of differential operators on the space of periodic functions.

Periodic Perturbations of a Nonconservative Center
Abstract
Small time-periodic perturbations of an oscillator whose restoring force has a conservative as well as a dissipative component are studied. The stability of the equilibrium and the bifurcation of an invariant two-dimensional torus from the equilibrium are considered. The focus quantity and the bifurcation equation determining the stability and branching character of the equilibrium are constructed.

Carleman Parabola and the Eigenvalues of Elliptic Operators
Abstract
We study the problem of location of the spectrum of an elliptic operator in a bounded domain with both the classical and more special boundary conditions. On the complex plane, we construct the set of all eigenvalues of the corresponding operator and consider several examples to illustrate the “asymptotic accuracy” of the obtained set and consider an example of nonunique solvability of a parabolic inverse problem with final observation.

Solvability of Mixed Problems for the Klein–Gordon–Fock Equation in the Class Lp for p ≥ 1
Abstract
We prove that the mixed problem for the Klein–Gordon–Fock equation utt(x, t) − uxx(x, t) + au(x, t) = 0, where a ≥ 0, in the rectangle QT = [0 ≤ x ≤ l] × [0 ≤ t ≤ T] with zero initial conditions and with the boundary conditions u(0, t) = μ(t) ∈ Lp[0, T ], u(l, t) = 0, has a unique generalized solution u(x, t) in the class Lp(QT) for p ≥ 1. We construct the solution in explicit analytic form.

Conjugate Cauchy Problem for Parabolic Shilov Type Systems with Nonnegative Genus
Abstract
The problem of solvability of the Gelfand–Shilov conjugate Cauchy problem for parabolic Shilov type systems with variable coefficients of bounded smoothness and nonnegative genus in the spaces Sβ is studied by constructing the fundamental solution of this problem and analyzing its basic properties.

On the Existence of a Generalized Solution of the Saturated-Unsaturated Filtration Problem
Abstract
We study the existence of a generalized solution of an initial–boundary value problem describing the process of unsteady filtration of a liquid in a bounded region of an n-dimensional space. We consider the case in which the Kirchhoff transformation used to determine the generalized solution takes the real axis into a semiaxis bounded below. An auxiliary problem is constructed. It is proved that any solution of the auxiliary problem is a solution of the problem under study. The solvability of the auxiliary problem is established by using the method of semidiscretization in time and the Galerkin method.

Study of Volterra Integro-Differential Equations with Kernels Depending on a Parameter
Abstract
We carry out spectral analysis of operator functions that are the symbols of integro-differential equations with unbounded operator coefficients in a separable Hilbert space. The structure and localization of the spectrum of operator functions which are symbols of these equations play an important role in studies of the asymptotic behavior of their solutions.

On a Class of Systems of Linear and Nonlinear Fredholm Integral Equations of the Third Kind with Multipoint Singularities
Abstract
Based on a new approach, we show that finding solutions for a class of systems of linear (respectively, nonlinear) Fredholm integral equations of the third kind with multipoint singularities is equivalent to finding solutions of systems of linear (respectively, nonlinear) Fredholm integral equations of the second kind with additional conditions. We study the existence, nonexistence, uniqueness, and nonuniqueness of solutions for this class of systems of Fredholm integral equations of the third kind with multipoint singularities.

On the Existence and Uniqueness of a Solution of the Bellman Equation in a Model of Operation of a Manufacturing Company with Regard to the Debt Load
Abstract
We study the existence and uniqueness of a solution of the Bellman equation formalizing the operation of a manufacturing company under conditions of irregular demand and debt load. The class of functions where this equation has a unique solution is determined. The choice of a specific solution is justified.

Useful New Equilibria for Differential Games with Side Interests of the Participants
Abstract
For conflict static and dynamic problems (described by differential equations) considered either on a game set common for all participants or on partly intersecting game sets, we propose new notions of conflict equilibria which are efficient for seeking the solutions of coalition-free and cooperative games and for specifying the hierarchy of all known equilibria. Several examples are used to show that, without the proposed new notions of equilibrium, an actually fair sharing may be impossible in cooperative games.

Some Properties of a Singular Integral Equation with Non-Carleman Shift
Abstract
We study the distribution of roots of the function W(z) = 1−λl−z cot(πz), z ∈ C, where l ∈ (0, 1) and λ ∈ C are parameters. The results are applied to the problem on the solvability and number of solutions of a singular integral equation in various function spaces.
