Abstract
In Russia, large refrigeration plants still operate mainly on ammonia. And today there is no alternative to this natural refrigerant: its ecological and technical and economic properties remain out of competition. Practical experience has shown that the use of ammonia is far from always explosive, since its ignition temperature is high (651 ° C), and the range of explosive concentrations in air (15-28% by volume) is quite narrow.
