Abstract
Created by the decision of the People's Commissariat of Supply of the USSR in 1930, the All-Russian Research Institute of the Refrigeration Industry (VNIHI) a year later began to implement a scientific program aimed at solving the main problems associated with the production and use of cold in the national economy.
