Department of Refrigeration Engineering for the 70th anniversary of MGUPB

Abstract

In 1973, the Department of Refrigeration Machines and Installations was organized at MGUPB, headed by Dr. Tech., Sciences, prof. E.I.Kaukhcheshvili. His scientific activity was devoted to theoretical, scientific, technical and technological developments in the field of sublimation preservation of food products and biological materials, as well as to studies of heat and mass transfer processes during phase transformations. Under the scientific guidance of E.I.Kaukhcheshvili, 46 Ph.D. theses were prepared and defended, he was a consultant in the preparation of four doctoral dissertations.
