Abstract
The use of smooth continuous approximating curves consisting of arcs of circles to solve production problems is considered. A relatively simple and efficient recurrent algorithm is developed for use with Kompas-3D, MS Excel, and other software. The algorithm is based on the property of the bisector of a triangle. An analytical form of the approximating curve is determined. A real-time graphic interactive interface in Kompas-3D software is derived. Some irregular mapping situations are described. Practical results are outlined.
