Assignment of the Abrasive-Jet Machining Mode of Si3N4-Ceramic Components Considering the Stress State of Various Surface-Layer Phases

The influences of mechanical and thermal actions specific to abrasive-jet machining on the distribution of stresses in various surface-layer phases of Si₃N₄ ceramic were investigated. An approach to selecting the operating modes during preliminary and finishing processes was proposed based on the established trends.
