Tema da Revista

The journal "Theory of Language and Intercultural Communication" was registered in 2003 as a printed edition of the oldest institution of higher education in Kursk. Since 2007 it has existed as an electronic periodical.

"Theory of Language and Intercultural Communication" is an electronic peer-reviewed scientific journal, registered by Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media (Roskomnadzor).

The journal has been added to the List of Leading Reviewed Academic Journals approved by VAK (Higher Attestation Committee), part of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. The journal is intended for publishing the scientific results of research for the degrees of PhD (candidate of sciences) and doctor of sciences.

The main languages of the journal are Russian, English, German and French. The journal is subject-oriented and is devoted to the presentation of scientific researches in the field of philology.

The journal accepts the articles from the authors and research teams in the following scientific specialities and corresponding branch of science (since 01/11/2022):

5.9.5. The Russian language. Languages of people of Russia (Philological sciences),

5.9.8. Theoretical, applied and comparative linguistics (philological sciences)

Access to the journal materials is free. All the articles are published with the authors’ agreement.

Minimum system requirements: Web browser Internet Explorer 5.0 or a more recent version, Opera 8.5 or a more recent version, Firefox 1.5 or a more recent version, and Safari 3.0 or a more recent JavaScript version.

Papers are submitted to the Editorial Office in printed (to V.V. Denisova, 33 Radishcheva St., room 337, 305000, Kursk, Russia) and electronic versions (e-mail: prof_communication@mail.ru).

All the submissions are checked for consistency with the journal’s scientific specialities, anti-plagiarism requirements (the content of the manuscripts should be 80% original) and formatting requirements. If the paper doesn`t meet the requirements, it is not sent for a review and is returned to the authors for revision.

First, the authors receive a notification of receipt of the manuscript by e-mail. Then within 45 days the Editorial Board e-mails the authors of the results of the review.

The papers cannot be reviewed by the specialists working at the scientific or educational institutions where the research was carried out.

Reviewers are notified that the papers under consideration are the private property of the authors and are reportedly not subject to disclosure.

Reviewing is conducted confidentially. The author(s) of a paper can get a copy of the review upon request. The breach of confidentiality is possible in case of the reviewer’s uncertainty about the authenticity and veracity of the text.

In case of disagreement with a reviewer`s opinion, the author has the right to give a reasonable response to the Editorial Office. The paper can be re-reviewed. The decision on the publication after the second review is made by the Editor-in-chief or if necessary by the Editorial Board.

If the review is positive, the Editor-in-chief determines the order of publication on the basis of the theme of the journal.

If the paper requires corrections, it is sent to the authors for revision/improvement. In this case the application date is the date of receiving the corrected version.

The text of the submitted papers should be literate and coherent. Manuscripts containing a lot of mistakes, typos and inaccuracies are not considered for review and publication.

Papers without Author Copyright Agreement are not considered for publication. The Editorial Board does not consider the materials, which have been previously copyrighted, published, or accepted for publication.

The manuscripts that lack appropriate citation and contain high percentage of plagiarism are rejected. The Editorial Board has the right not to enter into polemics with the authors of such papers and not to take into consideration their further submissions.

The authors take responsibility for any errors or inaccuracies. When an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in his/her own published work, it is the author’s obligation to promptly notify the journal editor or publisher and cooperate with the editor to retract or correct the paper. If the editor or the publisher learns from a third party that a published work contains a significant error, it is the obligation of the author to promptly retract or correct the paper or provide evidence to the editor of the correctness of the original paper.

The Editorial Board does not enter into polemics with the authors on the reviewers’ conclusions and comments, as well as on any other submission, review, formatting and publishing matters.

The editorial board of the publication undertakes to send copies of reviews to the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation upon receipt of a corresponding request to the editorial office of the publication.
