The problems of the publication of Dostoevsky’s Manuscripts, (based on draft manuscripts)
Abstract
The article is devoted to the textual analysis and publication of Dostoyevsky’s draft manuscripts, more specifically sketches in his notebooks and coherent draft texts. The presented results cover the manuscripts created between 1865 and 1879, such as drafts of the novels “Crime and Punishment”, “The Idiot”, “The Adolescent”, and “The Brothers Karamazov”. The Article also considers in detail scientific approaches to the publication of Dostoevsky’s creative heritage evolved in the 1920s–1930s and developed later, into the scientific concept of academic edition of the author’s works. Based on this analysis, the range of issues is determined, important for modern Dostoevsky studies and for new projects related to the publication of Dostoevsky’s texts, both paper and electronic books.

Graphics — Semantics — Factography: textual problems of Dostoevsky’s notebooks
Abstract
The article deals with the problems of graphologic, linguistic and textual analysis of Dostoevsky’s manuscripts. The material for the study is the notebook (1868–1869, F. 212.1.7 RGALI), which contains personal notes as well as those related to the creative process, including drafts of the novel “The Idiot” and unaccomplished intentions of the author. The method of textual studying of Dostoevsky’s drafts, based on graphics, spelling, punctuation peculiarities of the text, is demonstrated in the article. The proposed approach to the analysis depends on a comprehensive study of the formal and substantive characteristics of the material. It allows researchers not only to restore unread (incorrectly read) fragments of manuscripts, but also to reconstruct the evolution of the writer’s creative process due to the consistency of the received data, to clarify the dates of the notes, to reveal new facts of creative history of Dostoevsky literary works.

One more version of the address of the “old pawnbroker’s house”
Abstract
The article indicates to the discrepancy between the most common version of the address of the “Old Pawnbroker’s House” — Griboyedov canal, 104 — and the text of the novel “Crime and Punishment”. Basing on previous researches of other authors and on her own findings the author argues that a possible location of the “Old Pawnbroker’s House” might be somewhere on the right bank of the Griboyedov canal and to the West of Stolyarnyi Alley. The author suggests a new version of the address — Kazanskaya Street, 60 / Fonarny Alley, 18 / Griboyedov Canal Embankment, 83.

More on the address of the old pawnbroker Woman
Abstract
This article is a repercussion of the publication in the present issue of “The Unknown Dostoevsky” of the article “One more version of the address of the “old pawnbroker’s house” by Dunaeva Yu. A. The other authors’ standpoints of discovering the addresses of imaginary characters of Dostoevsky in St. Petersburg are examined here. The general problems that condition the variety of topographic versions offered by researchers are also analyzed. Both virtues and drawbacks of Dunaeva’s article are studied, as well as different methodological approaches to the problem of the artistic topography of St. Petersburg prose of Dostoevsky are assessed. The opinion on an essential, unavoidable ambiguity of some topographic indications in the novel “Crime and Punishment” is proved.

Who does the pen name Evgeniev in “Grazhdanin” belong to?
Abstract
The pen name Евгенiевъ [Evgeniev], appeared at the end of the articles No 3, No 6 and No 11 in the Journal “Grazhdanin” of 1873, is attributed by the author reference to the publication signed with the true surname of a staff writer. The article provides new biographical details about Vasily Yakovlevich Ososov, the owner of the pen name Евгенiевъ [Evgeniev]. Possible reasons for termination his work for “Grazhdanin” in March 1873 are investigated in the article.

A spiritual poetess “Ig. P. A.”: attribution of the letter of one unknown correspondent of Dostoevsky
Abstract
Most of Dostoevsky’s correspondence belongs to the period of 1872–1880, when thanks to A. G. Dostoevskaya the formation of the writer’s archive began. Without wishing to make it public, some of the readers did not sign their letters or concealed their names by cryptonyms, putting their authentic or feigned initials. For this reason, researchers still have not identified the authors of most of the anonymous and pseudonymous letters to Dostoevsky. This article is devoted to attribution of the letter of a correspondent of Dostoyevsky, signed by cryptonym Ig. P. A. Having carried out a textual and graphological analysis of the manuscript of an unidentified person, examined documentary, biographical, literary and historical materials, the author found out that the letter belongs to abbess Parthenia (Adabash), who was the mother superior of the Holy Ascension Florovsky Nunnery in Kiev in 1865–1881. She is the author of spiritual poems, published under the cryptonym I. P. A. as a separate book in 1875. On January 23, 1876, she wrote a letter to Dostoevsky, and enclosed some brochures of her book. As it ensues from this letter in her first letter to Dostoevsky, she sent him a manuscript of her poems, to which there was the writer’s answer with his assessment of her poetry. These two letters are no longer extant, or can’t be found. It is necessary to look for them in papers of abbess Parthenia, kept in the archives of Kiev.

Abstract
There are plenty of research works on personal and business relations between
F. M. Dostoevsky and V. F. Putsykovich. The basis for such researches is the variety of letters and documents. Dostoevsky’s letters to Putsykovich were published once and again. However, up to now, some of them, mostly those from Berlin archive, are not studied enough. As for the letters of Putsykovich, they have never been released entirely. The present article makes an attempt to represent for the first time the correspondence of Dostoevsky and Putsykovich in a right chronological order, maintaining peculiarities of spelling and punctuation of the originals and correcting the mistakes of previous publishers.
