Abstract
The authors of this article examine the strengthening of political cooperation between the Caspian states and the EU through a comparative analysis, which is also driven by a desire to demonstrate their autonomy and sovereignty over the positions of Russia and Iran. This cooperation is evidenced by the numerous intergovernmental negotiations and consultations, as well as the implementation of joint projects.
