Abstract
The aim of the research is to establish the perception of melodic attunement in speech interaction and its acoustic correlation. The experimental corpus for the study includes conversations in British English obtained from podcasts. The results of auditory and acoustic analyses make it possible to identify perceptual features of melodic consonance in speech and establish their characteristics at the acoustic level. Coordinated interaction between interlocutors manifests itself in prosodic convergence and imitation of melodic and dynamic parameters of speech.
