Abstract
The article traces the main trends in the use of spatial prepositions à, en, dans with geographical names of the French metropolis. An analysis of the methods of spatial conceptualization in the French language using prepositions is carried out on the example of constructions with a toponymic component, and the national-cultural specificity in the expression of a mental-toponymic stereotype is analyzed. Research methods: cognitive, conceptual, comparative.
