Abstract
The purpose of the proposed article is to substantiate the hypothesis that both mythologeme and typologeme are equally historical categories forming a correlative pair - the unity of analogy and opposition. They are brought together by the archiseme common to the timeless mythologeme and the situational typologeme; they are opposed by the great historical time, localizing the mythologeme in the absolute past, and the typologeme in the relative present, the typified characters and circumstances of which grow to archetypal over time.
